Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all Subscriptions and purchases made on shorthanddictation.com. It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions. By completing a payment on the Platform, you agree to this Policy.

2. Digital Content: General No-Refund Policy

Our Subscriptions provide immediate digital access to dictations, videos, PDFs, and other learning Content. Because this access and its educational value are typically consumed from the moment of purchase, and in line with standard practice for digital educational content in India, fees paid are generally non-refundable once a Subscription is activated.

In particular, no refund will be given on grounds such as:

• Change of mind, or a decision not to continue using the Platform;
• Non-use or partial use of the Subscription;
• Dissatisfaction with the pace, style, or difficulty of Content, where the Content substantially matches what was described at the time of purchase;
• Technical issues on your side (device, browser, or internet connectivity);
• Personal circumstances, including illness, unavailability, or change in plans;
• Failure to clear, or non-selection in, any examination or recruitment process;
• Account suspension resulting from your breach of the Terms & Conditions.

3. Limited Exceptions

Notwithstanding Section 2, we will investigate and, where verified, provide a refund or credit in the following limited circumstances:

• Duplicate payment: you were charged more than once for the same Subscription due to a technical or payment-gateway error;
• Payment debited without activation: your payment was successfully debited but the corresponding Subscription was never activated on your account, and the issue is not due to any fault of yours;
• Materially different Content: the core Content actually delivered is, at the time of your purchase, substantially and demonstrably different from what was clearly described on the purchase page (this does not cover routine updates, reorganisation, or gradual addition of Content as described in the Terms & Conditions).

To claim under this Section, you must contact us within 7 days of the payment date at krishnashorthandinstitute@gmail.com with your registered email, transaction/order ID, payment reference, and a description of the issue along with a message on WhatApp/Telegram No. 7355504435. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable time, ordinarily within 7–10 business days, and where a refund is approved, it will be processed to the original payment method within a reasonable time thereafter, subject to the processing timelines of the relevant bank or payment gateway.

This Section 3 does not create any right to a refund for reasons falling under Section 2, and approval of a refund request is at our reasonable discretion after verifying the facts.

4. Cancellation

You may stop using the Platform at any time; however, doing so does not entitle you to a refund for the unused portion of an active Subscription, except as expressly set out in Section 3. Subscriptions are time-bound from the date of purchase and cannot be paused, frozen, or extended, and are non-transferable to another person.

5. Pricing and Offers

Prices, discounts, and promotional offers are subject to change without notice for future purchases and do not apply retroactively to Subscriptions already purchased. Promotional pricing does not create any additional refund entitlement beyond this Policy.

6. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you believe you have been incorrectly charged, please contact us first using the process in Section 3 so we can investigate and resolve the issue directly — this is usually faster than a bank dispute. If a chargeback or payment dispute is raised with your bank or payment provider without first contacting us, and our records show the charge was valid and the Subscription was duly activated and made available to you, we reserve the right to contest the dispute, suspend the account associated with the disputed transaction pending resolution, and, where the dispute is found to be unfounded or made in bad faith, pursue recovery of amounts due and associated costs as permitted by law.

7. How to Raise a Refund Request or Grievance

We acknowledge such requests within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within a reasonable time. If you remain dissatisfied with the outcome, you may pursue the grievance and dispute-resolution process described in our Terms & Conditions, including, where applicable, your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

8. Relationship to Other Policies

This Policy operates together with, and is subject to, our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. In the event of any conflict specifically regarding refunds or cancellation, this Policy will govern.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time; the "Effective Date" above will be revised accordingly. Refund requests are assessed under the Policy in effect on the date of the relevant payment.
