1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between Krishna Shorthand Institute, a proprietorship operating the website shorthanddictation.com ("we", "us", "our", "Institute", "Platform"), and any person who accesses, registers on, subscribes to, or otherwise uses the Platform ("you", "User", "Subscriber").

By creating an account, making a payment, or using the Platform in any manner, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Cancellation Policy, each of which is incorporated into this Agreement by reference and available on the Platform.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.

2. Definitions

• "Content" means all dictations, audio and video recordings, transcripts, PDFs, practice material, evaluation sheets, and any other material made available on the Platform.
• "Subscription" means the time-bound, paid access plan purchased by a User.
• "Intellectual Property" means all copyrights, trademarks, proprietary methods, curriculum, and course material owned or licensed by the Institute.
• "Services" means the educational content, tools, and platform access provided by the Institute.

3. Nature of the Platform and Disclaimer of Outcomes

shorthanddictation.com is an educational, skill-development resource offering shorthand dictations, practice material, speed-building exercises, and related learning content.

The Institute does not guarantee selection or success in any examination, interview or recruitment process; employment or career advancement; attainment of any particular shorthand speed or accuracy; or uninterrupted and error-free access to the Platform.

Learning outcomes depend on the User's individual aptitude, effort and practice and on factors outside the Institute's control. The Institute has no affiliation with, and is not endorsed by, any government department, court, tribunal, or examination-conducting authority.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or use the Platform with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. You must have legal capacity to enter into a binding contract and provide true, accurate and complete registration information.

5. Account Registration, Security, and Usage Restrictions

You are responsible for your account, login credentials and all activity occurring under your account. Each Subscription is for a single named individual.

You must not share credentials, resell or redistribute access, misuse promotional offers, use bots or automated means, or use VPNs/proxies to circumvent security controls. Violations may result in suspension or termination of the account and Subscription.

6. Subscriptions, Fees, and Payments

Fees are displayed in INR unless stated otherwise and are payable through authorised payment gateways. Subscriptions are time-bound, personal and non-transferable. Refunds, cancellations and chargebacks are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

7. Content Availability and Modification

Content may be added, updated, reorganised, replaced or discontinued from time to time. Content is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, subject to applicable consumer-protection law.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

All Content, Platform design, software, curriculum and branding are the intellectual property of Krishna Shorthand Institute or its licensors and are protected by applicable law.

Users receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access Content solely for personal, non-commercial learning.

Users must not record, screenshot, copy, download where not permitted, reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, commercially use, reverse-engineer or sub-license Platform Content. We may use reasonable technical measures, including digital watermarking, to detect unauthorised distribution and may pursue remedies available under applicable law.

9. Acceptable Use

Users must not harass or impersonate others, knowingly publish unlawful or malicious content, compromise Platform security, or transmit malware or harmful code. Genuine good-faith feedback, complaints and lawful criticism are permitted.

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these Terms, misuse, fraudulent activity, credential-sharing, unauthorised Content distribution or unlawful conduct. On termination, access to the Platform and Content ends immediately.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform and Content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure or error-free operation.

12. Limitation of Liability and Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, the Institute shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the Platform. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Users agree to indemnify the Institute against claims and reasonable losses arising from their breach of these Terms, infringement of intellectual property, violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

13. No Professional, Career, or Employment Advice

Content is provided for educational and skill-development purposes only and does not constitute legal advice, career counselling, official examination guidance or an employment guarantee.

14. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, governmental actions, internet or power outages, war, civil unrest or cyberattacks.

15. Grievance Redressal and Dispute Resolution

For grievances, contact krishnashorthandinstitute@gmail.com. We will acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within a reasonable time.

Unresolved disputes may be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seated in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. This does not affect applicable consumer rights.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer rights, courts at Prayagraj (Allahabad), Uttar Pradesh shall have jurisdiction.

17. Amendments

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our Services or applicable law. The Effective Date will be revised when the Terms are updated.

18. General

These Terms, Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy constitute the agreement between you and the Institute. If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Failure to exercise a right does not constitute a waiver.
